Senior Machine Learning Engineer (m/w/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the active role in shaping the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence in our AI team at VAIVA
- Develop algorithms for the next generation of (semi-)autonomous vehicle safety systems, among others
- Investigate new technologies and standards for our AI projects
- Automate the processes using ML/DL methods
- Prepare and analyse data from simulation road tests and field trials
- Validate the developed algorithms
- Present tasks and VAIVA at conferences and in public
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or comparable
- Several years of professional experience in the field of ML/DL
- Knowledge of conceptual design and application of modern ML/DL methods
- Experience of mathematical models and methods such as optimization, statistics, stochastics and numerics are
- Proficiency of the current state of research and technology in the field of AI and are able to derive new products and algorithms from it
- Professional experience in programming with Python and C/C++ as well as in the practical application of machine learning SW packages is required
- Ideally, knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure), CI/CD, version control with Git
- Knowledge from the automotive environment of sensors, vehicle functions, system architecture, development processes or tools is an advantage
- Strong goal orientation and ability for a critical evaluation of results
- Able to work in a team and customer-oriented
- Fluent in German and English
