Functional Safety Engineer (m/f/d) for the system level for assisted and autonomous driving functions

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Specify, optimise and analyse functional safety requirements at system level (system requirements, system architecture, test cases) for driving functions in the context of automated driving and driver assistance under consideration of the functional safety standard (ISO 26262)
• Report the progress and the maturity of the FuSi-specific work products, metrics, KPIs etc.  to Functional Safety Manager
• Create, evaluatw, review/analyse functional and technical safety concepts as well as functional safety requirements
• Conduct suitable fault analyses, e.g. FMEA, FTA, HAZOP, and derive fault detection / fault prevention mechanisms based on the results of the analyses
• Evaluate the properties of the functional safety requirements in simulations and / or in-car test-drives in relation to effectiveness and robustness
• Verify the functional safety content using suitable test methods and test locations
• Regularly inform and support within the development team and within the overall project

YOUR PROFILE

• Technical university degree (e.g. computer science, electrical engineering) or a comparable education
• Several years of professional experience in the automotive sector, mainly in system and / or software development
• Good knowledge of ISO 26262 and practical experience in system implementation (system requirements and system architecture) through requirements in the context of functional safety
• Experienced in error analysis (e.g. FMEA, FTA, HAZOP)
• Knowledge of the development process according to Automotive SPICE
• Fluent in German and English
